Magic & play should be a part of the everyday. :)

(A first foray in photographing a family on film)

After our session was mostly wrapped, Cassidy and I decided to do a few photos for her blog. I love her desk!

My darling friend Nikki (you might remember her baby shower) gave birth to her beautiful daughter Immi (short for Imogen), over a month ago, and I finally got a chance to meet the little one! & I am in LOVE! Of course, I brought along my film cameras to play with, and we ended up making the visit into a fun little mini photo shoot!

I LOVE how these came out, I only shot two rolls (about 50 images total), and I am beyond thrilled. I am loving shooting film more and more — it just allows me to totally focus in the moment — instead of worrying what the images are looking like on the back of the camera! Plus it just feels truer to my heart. :) Prepare for various more film images to come!

As per usual, I had the most charming time with the Farias family, capturing the photos for their Christmas cards! I meant to post these on Christmas day, but better late than never! Plus, it’s all so adorable, you just can’t help yourself but swoon over the darling-ness of the family, plus little miss Rylie all wrapped up in lights!

Here’s to a beautiful holiday season to you all!

I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Yosemite last month & photograph this lovely family and the best part was — IT SNOWED! It was pure magic, and it was actually one of my biggest desires to see Yosemite Valley covered in snow! I can’t wait to go back someday (hopefully soon!) and get a chance to enjoy it again. :)

Enjoy the photos — especially of dear little Isaiah, who is such a charmer, and wraps everyone around his tiny finger! ;)

There is nothing better than a strong friendship — friends that support & balance one another, especially. Audrey & Belinda have such a special friendship, and it was a great joy to do this photo shoot for them. As two strong, beautiful yogini’s, these ladies are embarking on new chapters of their lives — starting a new venture (One Love Encinitas) as well as embracing a new decade in their lives. They wanted to do this shoot to celebrate those things, which I think is a good of reason as any to get pretty and have some fun in front of the camera!

Many thanks to Amanda of Thorne Artisty for working her magic & providing hair, makeup & wardrobe styling.
